Peru Yoga Retreat: Hiking + Rituals
July 20 – 26, 2019
When you create a sense of ritual out of daily tasks your life becomes sacred. Luminous. Enriched. In Peru this coming July our retreat focus is Yoga + Ritual: Transforming your movement practice, nutrition, intellect, and dharmic path into divine geometry through yogic teachings.
Feel energy flow through your body with every step taken over the hallowed grounds of Peru. Your seven-day journey begins in the aptly named Sacred Valley with a taste of local food before a stand-up paddleboard takes you across pristine waters surrounded by towering Andean peaks. Each day has the chance for new discoveries with available yoga sessions, a hot springs visit, and the option to do the 1-day Inca Trail Hike. Finally, you can bask in the awe-inspiring beauty of Machu Picchu through an intentionally paced tour. As you absorb the mysterious power of these ancient ruins, you’ll head home with a renewed lift in your step.

Pure Lux Yoga Guest Instructors in Peru:
Chloe Hope Oliver
Experience grounded strength and warm connection in each moment, each movement,
To inspire presence
She lives by these words:
“Everything you’ll ever need, you already have.“
Chloe teaches to facilitate inspired presence, grounded strength, and warm connection in each moment, each movement. She has been inspired to incorporate intensity and mindfulness into the teaching of yoga. There is so much strength + knowledge we already possess, we just need tools to access it.
Growing up as a competitive athlete Chloe cultivated a drive to physically achieve by any means necessary, which lead to injury and consistently feeling inadequate. As soon as she started practicing yoga regularly she quickly learned that there are therapeutic qualities of yoga both physically and mentally. In 2011 she completed her 200 hour power vinyasa teacher training and since has shared yoga knowledge in Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, and most recently Washington, DC.
Our bodies are extremely powerful, and if we can slow down enough to notice the power of mind + body connection the results of living our daily life can be beautifully amplified in so many ways. She choses to share this knowledge and strength by means of yoga asana and mindfulness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For double occupancy, will you be able/willing to assign rooms if I am not signing up with a friend?
Yes, if you don’t have a friend to share a room with I will be assigning roommates for any double occupancies (by gender).
Is the sample schedule just an example or is it the exact same schedule each day?
The sample schedule is indeed just an example, but it’s pretty close to timing. We will also be taking two excursions throughout the week, probably on a fabulous yacht to visit the caldera, and also a tour of the countryside and ruins. With all of our retreats the training portion (lecture and discussion) is optional, but I’ve found that everyone ends up wanting to fully participate! We will also have a special ceremony & dinner the last night.
Is there any kind of pre-retreat meeting or will we meet everyone once we arrive?Although most of the participants are from Minnesota, some are from around the USA so there will not be an opportunity for everyone to meet prior to our trip. We will, however have a Facebook group where students can share packing lists, questions, etc.
What if I want to go on the retreat, and enjoy the morning yoga & meditation classes, but not necessarily get certification or attend the lectures / training?
That’s just fine! The week will be extraordinary, and there is no pressure. Participate in activities as little or as much as you like.
